Supporting the British Brick Industry – Banded Pre-War

New product

At Manchester Brick, we always aim to provide our customers with a unique offering of bricks. Today is no different. We are now stocking the Banded Pre-War (UK) bricks.

As the name suggests, our Banded Pre-War (UK) is fortunately manufactured sustainably, and ethically, within the UK. (Note: we are the exclusive distributor of this brick, and you will not be able to find it anywhere else.)

Banded pre-war bricks from other distributors in the UK are often made and imported from kilns in Asia. There, it’s common that the quality of the product is low and working conditions are unethical and unsustainable.

By using the Banded Pre-War (UK) in your upcoming projects, you are helping to support British business. The UK brick manufacturing industry took a massive hit during COVID, and has since not been able to keep up with the demand for construction projects in the UK. Alongside this, rising cost caused many developers and distributors to outsource their bricks, importing them from unaccredited kilns in countries such as Pakistan.

Supporting UK industry isn’t the only benefit to the Banded Pre-War (UK).

We’re yet to mention how it is a great choice for any of your projects, no matter the scale. It is a wirecut brick available in the 73mm size. While reminiscent in colour to the classic red-brick, the brick manages to subvert tradition, providing your builds with both pale and burnt shades, splashed across each brick, guaranteeing no two are alike. For builds looking for a heritage aesthetic, showcasing the UK’s architectural history in an authentic way.

We are happy to tell you that the Banded Pre-War (UK) bricks are in-stock and available to order now.

If you are looking to use them on your next project, then get in touch with our sales team to secure your order. Not convinced yet? You can order a free sample below to see the brick for yourself before you order. We  also offer fast delivery times for customers across the UK.
