Developer

In this Woodsett Homes case study, MBS worked with this South Yorkshire-based property developers for the construction of one of their housing developments. Located in Blyth, a village near Worksop in the East Midlands, the new build development was to have easy access to the A1 motorway. Our involvement in the project was to supply the perfect brick for five of their prestigious detached properties. The brick chosen for the project needed to be consistent, have character as well as kerb appeal.

Construction moved forward using our handmade Newlyn Heritage Blend as the brick of choice for the five properties. This is a red brick with a creased appearance, and features various red and white shades that blend together well, helping to avoid a distinct contrast. This uniformity helped tick the box for Woodsett in terms of a brick that is consistent across each build. In terms of kerb appeal, Woodsett Homes have described the final products as “a private cul-de-sac combining characterful brick-built designs with beautiful modern interior layouts.”

How our stock was incorporated into the builds can be seen at Orchard Grove. The Newlyn Heritage stock is paired alongside a lighter, yellow cement, while the roof, window panes and other additional features accent the build with a darker focus, opting for black.

The final results of the build are stunning, and showcase the levels of luxury and expertise that Woodsett wanted to achieve in their initial plans for the development. MBS are committed to working with housing developers to help build new housing in the UK. Teaming up with MBS can provide you with a partner who can keep you one step ahead, developing sustainable and future proof developments.

This brick I wanted is seen across London and the South East and has a history dating back 300 years, meaning I had a match for the historical context of the build.
