Manchester Brick Specialists

Each brick from MBS needs to withstand whatever the British weather can throw at it. From prolonged periods of sub-zero temperatures in winter, summer heatwaves, and the very worst wet and windy conditions – our products can resist them all.

All our clay bricks carry a BS EN 771-1 certificate and comply in full with UK and EU laws and standards.

Because of slight variations in chemical composition, no two bricks are identical. This can lead to slight colour differences, although in certain styles which feature clay flashing or overburns, this is often a desirable effect. The ageing process we treat our lines with produces a weathered look and texture. This replicates the appearance of reclaimed brickwork, with none of the associated issues of coursing heights or unsuitable mortar mixes. While giving as accurate a picture of each range as possible, the images used throughout this brochure are for illustration only.

A harmless salt residue which can appear on the surface of brickwork or mortar, efflorescence occurs naturally, most often during the winter. It affects yellow bricks more than other colour types, but pressure washing, soaking in diluted white vinegar, or scrubbing with a hard brush removes the substance.

Before you commit to an order, we are always happy to offer free samples. This enables you to see an accurate reflection of the size, colour and texture of a selection of materials, and make a more informed choice. To request a sample, either contact us online or call our friendly customer care team on 0161 641 3579. A typical turnaround for free brick samples is three to five days.

We always stock a vast range of bricks. While next day delivery is often available, there may be rare occasions when certain ranges are unavailable for brief periods. Please check availability before placing an order.

Whether you are a homeowner embarking on a small project, a professional builder, your local builders merchants will supply and deliver bricks in the pack sizes you need. Just let us know which bricks you want and we will put you in touch with your closest merchant who stocks our bricks.

A full load may be as large as 20 pallets depending on the size of brick, and although we distribute single pallets, smaller orders may incur a charge from our hauliers. Please note that delivery vehicles from the building merchants require suitable unloading space.

You may collect orders direct from our Salford depot. Arrangements must be made in advance, and we will advise on the most suitable collection times.
