Birchwood Red Multi
Fall in love with this classic style of brick. The Birchwood Red Multi is a more modern version than a monotone red brick. This wire cut brick is dragfaced, or textured, and its multi-red colour is a blend of shades from soft red to darker brown
Red multi bricks come in a variety of differing tones. The colour variations of red multi bricks cover a wide arc of the colour spectrum, adding character and “age” to newly made bricks. Therefore, it is important to match the shade for any project you undertake.
Red multi bricks feature anything from strong and bright brick reds to mellower, muted reds. Orange and brown, white, cream or buff, grey or even black tonal variations can all be part of the colour palette.
Birchwood Red Multi bricks are a diverse and cost-effective choice for your building project. They pair equally well with neutral mortar for a classic combination, or black mortar for a modern twist.
Manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standard, each brick weighs 2.1kg (dry), and measures 65mm x 215mm x 102.5mm Standard Metric).
Durability designation is a Frost Durability rating of F2, and low active soluble salts (S2). F2/S2 classifications and similar are suitable for use in locations subject to severe exposure. This includes areas above and below ground level.

Dragfacing is a common brick texture effect. It is suitable in both traditional and newer builds. Bricks are scraped before the heating process, in order to create this textured brick.
The Heywood Red brick is commonly chosen for its aesthetic qualities, and will provide a red, light textured façade. It’s perfect for most masonry situations

Salford Smooth Red
The Salford Smooth Red is the epitome of a red brick. It’s what most people imagine, when they think of a brick. Its uniform red appearance makes it a popular facing material. It combines traditional colour with a smooth appearance, and a contemporary feel.
Red bricks are common to the north of England, with red and orange buildings throughout the Midlands. Warehouse architecture from the 19th Century is predominantly constructed of red brick. Red brickwork also features heavily in architecture in cities. It was chosen because it was bright enough to be visible from the street, through smog and pollution from industry.
Municipal buildings, universities, and housing stock for industrial workers were constructed of red brick. The growth of the railway industry saw bricks used in line tunnels, bridges and viaducts. Lighthouses, tall chimneys, and other industrial structures dating from the mid-19th Century are also part of the red brick legacy.
The Salford Smooth Red is a reliable and popular choice of wire-cut brick, producing excellent results every time. Red mortar will add a subtle, uniform look to your construction. Our Salford Smooth Red bricks look traditional, and no less stunning, when paired with neutral mortar.
This includes areas above and below ground level (approximately 2 courses above and below).

Midnight Blue
From traditional to contemporary, the wider colour range of bricks now available offer great opportunities for innovative brickwork. One colour that has gained popularity with builders over recent years is blue.
Staffordshire Blue brick is a strong construction brick. As the name suggests, it was originally made in Staffordshire, and is popular throughout the Midlands. It was used for building foundations, steps and pathways, and later, railways. It was used most extensively in canal construction, for bridges and tunnels.
Blues (and blacks) in bricks are acquired through tough clay and a hotter firing process. Blue bricks were often the traditional choice for creating a design element, like coping, path edging, window ledges, and window arches. Now builders use them to create design features such as walls, and even complete facades.
Residential property The Interlock, in London’s Fitzrovia, is clad in Staffordshire Blue bricks of 44 different sizes. The facade is a patterned surface of intersecting forms, which contrasts beautifully against its cream and brown-hued neighbours.
Far from jarring with more traditionally coloured brickwork, the sleek, modern, blue brick can work as a compliment to traditional colours. Historical meets futuristic.
Our Midnight Blue bricks look stunning when paired with white or neutral mortar. For a real design statement, use a tonal mortar, like black. Manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standard, each brick weighs 2.1kg (dry), and offers a Metric (65 x 215 x 102.5mm Standard Metric) sizing.
Durability designation is a Frost Durability rating of F2, and low active soluble salts (S2). F2/S2 classifications and similar are suitable for use in locations subject to severe exposure. This includes areas above and below ground level (approximately 2 courses above and below).
Our Midnight Blue bricks come in packs of 520. When it comes to lead times, we’re among the best in the business. Don’t stress over availability, quality or price. Polar Smooth White
Visit villages and towns around the UK, and you will see evidence of an historical love of traditional brickwork and stonework.
The tradition of whitewashing properties was popular many countries across the world, not least Britain. White was associated with cleanliness, and purity, and was considered a cheap and easy way to make houses look more attractive. It also served an important hygiene purpose.
A key ingredient of whitewash was lime. Lime is a powerful disinfectant, and insect repellent. It also works well to disguise odours, one of the many reasons British farm properties are often painted white. Whitewashing waterproofed the fabric of a building, as well as improving its aesthetic.
White bricks aren’t to all tastes, but used in the right applications, they give simply stunning results for commercial and residential builds alike. Classic white buildings epitomise grandeur and history. Contemporary white buildings are stylish, fresh, and give an air of efficiency and cleanliness. Adding white bricks as feature work to a dark facade will make the colours “pop” in contrast.
Contrary to what you might think, white brick requires very little maintenance, other than cleaning.
We suggest teaming our Polar White Smooth bricks with grey or black mortar for a sleek, contemporary and monotone facade. To create a serene, natural, calming aura, neutral mortar is the way to go. For a totally uniform facade, pair with a white mortar. Polar Smooth White can be used against other coloured bricks to allow for greater design flexibility.
Manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standard, each Polar Smooth White brick weighs 2.1kg (dry), and offers a Metric (65 x 215 x 102.5mm Standard Metric) sizing.
Durability designation is a Frost Durability rating of F2, and low active soluble salts (S2). F2/S2 classifications and similar are suitable for use in locations subject to severe exposure. This includes areas above and below ground level (approximately 2 courses above and below).
Our Polar Smooth White bricks are available for next day delivery, in packs of 520. For a statement build, call us on 0161 641 3579, and ask to speak to us about Polar Smooth White bricks.
Maplewood Light
Another of our new white bricks with immediate stock availability is the Maplewood Light.
Maplewood Light is a white colour brick, with a light-coloured “marbling” pattern across each one. The pattern combines to create a marbled appearance to the structure, while retaining the effect of traditional brickwork. Using a light-coloured mortar beautifully highlights the delicate veining across the brick faces. This versatile brick is equally good with other mortar colours too.
Unlike Smooth Polar White, the Maplewood Light is dragfaced. The textured brick face adds further, unique character to each brick. This brick is an excellent choice for a natural, yet contemporary, aesthetic.
Each brick is wire-cut to the same shape and size (65 x 215 x 102.5mm Standard Metric), which will lend a neat and uniform look to your project. Our pack sizes are 520 bricks.
Weighing 2.1kg (dry), Maplewood Light bricks are manufactured to BS EN 771-1 standard.
Durability designation is a Frost Durability rating of F2, and low active soluble salts (S2). F2/S2 classifications and similar are suitable for use in locations subject to severe exposure. This includes areas above and below ground level (approximately 2 courses above and below).
Our new Maplewood Light are versatile bricks, suitable for the majority of masonry applications. We’ve stock available immediately for next day delivery. Call us on 0161 641 3579 today, and start buildings tomorrow.
Smooth Buff
Smooth and buff – exactly as the name suggests. Our Smooth Buff brick has buff sandy tones throughout every brick. Each one has been wire-cut in order to be uniform in shape, size (65 x 215 x 102.5mm Standard Metric) and weight (2.1kg, dry).
Buff is a light yellow-brown colour, often found in nature. As a result, structures that use buff bricks look earthy, natural, and warm.
Where buff raw materials are locally available, so buff walls, buildings, and structures can be found, like the Cotswolds. Cambridge and some areas of London are commonly found to feature buff and cream bricks. Cambridgeshire is famous for distinctive white buffs, almost the colour of sand. It is the result of native Gault clay, which covered northern Europe during the Middle-Late Albian stage of the Early Cretaceous period, between 105 and 95 million years ago.
Each brick is wire-cut to the same shape and size (65 x 215 x 102.5mm Standard Metric), which will lend a neat and uniform look to your project. Our pack sizes are 520 bricks.
